At Nola's suggestion, Quinton cut his Hollywood trip short after Rebecca' s extremely ill-timed phone call (see Hollywood video), and left his love, Nola behind. Nola had a method to her madness. She wanted Quinton to go back to Thornway Road, have Rebecca pack her bags, and be history before she set foot back in the house . . .just as he promised her. Well, things did not work out as planned. Quint whimped out and allowed Rebecca to stay longer when she threatened to reveal to Nola how he "pushed her off the cliff years earlier causing her to lose 'their' baby." It was set up that Nola would be DEVASTATED if Quint did not keep this promise to her.

On the day she was to return to Springfield, Nola got an earlier flight home and sent Quint a telegram to inform him (it was the 80s, remember). Of course, Rebecca retrieved the telegram and did not tell Quinton. Quinton was peacefully waiting at the boarding house before going to pick up Nola from the airport based on her original flight itinerary. Meanwhile, Nola arrived back at Thornway Road. She immediately encountered Rebecca with a bitchy, smug expression on her pinched, anorexic face. Rebecca enjoyed telling Nola that Quint begged her to stay on at Thornway Road. For some reason, Nola believed her lies. Quint got word from Renfield that Nola was at Thornway Road and that a "bitch fight" was about to ensue. Quint freaked out and immediately headed back to the Thornway Road mansion to prevent any blood shed.

This video picks up at that point. It's hilarious. Poor Quint really did have his hands full with all these women (Nola, Helena, Rebecca, Renfield). It's fun to see Quint show some backbone. Right after this video, Nola got out of the study by escaping into the secret passageway only to overhear Quint screaming at Rebecca that Nola is the only woman he loves and that he loves her more than any other human being in this world. Nola cooled her jets and got dressed up for a romantic evening out, and hopefully they could pick up where they left off in Hollywood (but no such luck for the fans who would still have to wait months).
