WE HEARD FROM MICHAEL TYLO, 4/16/05

The Quint and Nola Homepage has recently received some correspondence from Michael Tylo's people. Apparently, while recently in New York City, Michael met with the casting departments for CBS and ABC. Our understanding is that there may have been some interest in bringing Michael back in some capacity as Quinton on Guiding Light. This could potentially be very good news for Quint and Nola fans who suffered so at the hands of McTavish and Rauch back in the 90s. We firmly hold our position that we would support Quint as played by Michael Tylo and Nola as played by Lisa Brown to return TOGETHER on GL. Tylo is absolutely interested in returning to the NYC based soap in whatever capacity. And according to Tylo's people, Lisa Brown may have changed her position against doing on-camera work and now be open to the possibility. It would be fabulous to see the old "Quola" spark, if someone was able to write a respectable and mature romantic story for this sacred and beloved supercouple. One would assume their possible return could also usher in new, fresh, young characters in their children, AJ and Anastasia Chamberlain, who could be integrated into the show on a more long term basis. However, as always, if Michael Tylo and Lisa Brown can not come back together on the show, whether on contract or as dayplayers, we will always have the fond memories and fanfiction where fans can enjoy new, romantic experiences for Quinton and Nola.

FROM MICHAEL ABOUT WORKING IN NYC, 5/8/05

The following item was published in the May 17 issue of Soap Opera Digest in the "Casting About/Grapevine" section:

"GL is toying with the idea of bringing back Quint. Of course, it's doubtful that Michael Tylo (ex-Quint) would permanently relocate to New York since his wife, Hunter Tylo, has returned to the L.A.-based B&B."

In response to that, Michael Tylo had the following to say on May 8, 2005

"The kids have grown up. Hunter and the kids want me to go back on a show full time. We are an acting family and go where the work is. If asked, I would gladly go back as Quint on "Guiding Light" under contract, recurring or in whatever capacity the Producers and I can agree on. Remember, I did "Zorro" in Spain for two years while Hunter was on "B&B," and before that she did "Days" while living in Los Angeles, and I was in Madrid. I hope that you post this and let people know that I'm very interested.

Thanks for allowing me to post this comment. I hope it clears it up from my point of view.

God bless and keep you,

Michael Tylo"
